Since winter officially started, the weather has been comparatively mild. The first day of 2010, while snowy, was no exception. However, when the weekend rolled around, winter came back with a vengeance. By Saturday morning temperatures had plunged and bone-chilling winds had kicked up, with windchills in the minus 20s. You could really tell how cold it was outside by observing the slow and gentle motion of steam as it rose from exhaust vents atop apartment buildings. This morning, while it's still cold out there, it is not as brutal.
