This evening my newest roommate decided to bring out a couple of DVDs for us to watch. Of the DVDs presented, I decided to go with Simon & Garfunkel: The Concert in Central Park. This was a live concert featuring their greatest songs performed on The Great Lawn in Central Park, New York City on September 19, 1981. For me, there is one song in their repetoire which has always deeply stirred my emotions with its beautiful yet haunting lyrics. That song is Bridge Over Troubled Water.
When that song started playing in the video tonight, my eyes filled with tears. Thoughts of my recent job loss earlier this week, Blair being away in France, and my love for Blair flowed through my mind.
