Little Treasures

Yesterday I went downstairs to my storage locker to give it a long overdue clean out. In the process of sorting it out, I came upon a special issue of the long since defunct OMNI magazine. In this issue, I discovered some really bizarre and funny cartoons. A couple of them are presented below.

The caption for this particular cartoon says, "It's just one goddamn thing after another."

The caption for this cartoon says, "I'll never forget you, Xeena. I'll see your face in every omelet. I'll never again touch another dish of 'coq au vin',... "

  1. I just had to comment on the old OMNI cartoon, "One goddammed thing after another". I have been searching for it for years. For some reason it's one of my all time favorites.

I used to have a subscription to OMNI and saved every one of them, then in a fit of getting rid of excess stuff, I tossed them. I've been sorry ever since.I'm so glad you decided to include this cartoon. Do you happen to know who the artist was? Also what issue?

I hope you don't mind if I copy it for my own blog. Thanxalot for reviving this!

  2. I still have this cartoon after nearly 40 years. It has hung on many walls and perhaps a few more to come. Thanks

  3. So where can I get a full sized copy of this cartoon? One where the caption is readable.

  4. It's five years later, but Sojourner states my sentiments exactly. I just loved this cartoon and never forgot it. I describe to someone about once a year.

    1. To be clear, the one about One goddamn thing after another. Priceless.

  5. I was 12 when this cartoon was printed. I understand it a lot better now than I did then...
