In the wee hours of the morning on Monday, July 20, 2009, my friend Jim passed away. He is survived by Glen with whom he had been partnered for some 20 years. Unlike Glen, who is very outgoing, Jim was a quiet and unassuming guy, who dedicated his life to helping others through his professional passion as a social worker.
For a celebration of his life, I wanted to do something special on my blog, so I created this short Quicktime movie. It simply incorporates a beautiful image of Glen and Jim (at right) accompanied by a soundtrack. The song is Hallelujah, as sung by KD Lang. It was one of songs played at Jim's funeral, and so is quite fitting here.
Here's to Jim!
