Two days ago there was a message left on my voicemail from Black Photo, with whom I had been employed from 1989 to 1994, at their Yonge and Eglinton location. The caller informed me that my resume had been reviewed and asked if I would be interested in attending an interview this week.
A couple of hours later that day I retrieved the message and called them back. I spoke with the manager and said that I would be delighted to come in for an interview, which, by the way, has been arranged for this Thursday morning at 11.30. The position is for a part-time sales associate, which would be perfect for me since I am intending to return to school through the Second Career program.
Earlier today I received an email from my old boss at Beamecho, which had closed its doors at the end of May. He informed me that he will be opening up a new store at Yonge and St. Clair as early as next week. He is simply awaiting reseller authorisation from Apple. If I do pursue this opportunity, I intend to make it clear that I will only be able to work there in a part-time capacity, again because of my intentions in pursuing the Second Career program.
In either case, I will keep you posted.
