While I was having my morning coffee at Java Jive, my friends, Peter and David, dropped by. After chatting with a couple of the other patrons, Peter asked me if I was interested in making some money today. He explained that he needed some help moving the PFLAG office. Without hesitation, I said yes. Minutes after that, we were off to MCC, Metropolitan Community Church, to rendez-vous with the movers and help them out.
The first part of the move went quickly and smoothly. Once the truck was loaded, we proceeded to the new location at Danforth and Coxwell with the moving truck trailing behind us. About an hour after we arrived at our destination, everything was unloaded. Peter paid the movers. Shortly thereafter, Peter and David drove me home. Once home, Peter paid me for my time and effort.
